Jacob Kaplan lives an ordinary life in Uruguay. Like many of his other Jewish friends, Jacob fled Europe for South America because of World War II. But now turning 76, he is grumpy and in need of adventure. An unexpected opportunity to achieve greatness comes in the form of a quiet, elderly German, who Mr Kaplan believes to be a runaway Nazi. Determined to capture this Nazi, as Eichmann was captured before him, Mr Kaplan surprises everyone when he takes up this challenge.

The story of this film is based on the 10 missing pages from the case of Fanny Kaplan, who was accused of attempting to assassinate Vladimir Lenin in 1918. It focuses on her love affair with Lenin's brother, Dmitriy Ilyich Ulyanov. The plot follows Kaplan throughout her short, yet challenging life: from her early days in Odessa, participating in an anarchist bomb plot; through the years spent in Siberian labour camps; to the brief reunion with her ex-lover, the bandit-turned-Bolshevik Viktor Garskiy; and ultimately the arrest and execution in one of the courtyards of the Kremlin.

Mr Don & Mr George was a Channel 4 sitcom, featuring two characters from the Scottish comedy sketch show Absolutely. Moray Hunter and Jack Docherty played two unrelated characters who happened to share a surname. Hunter and Docherty wrote the series and it was made by their production company, Absolutely Productions. The humour was surreal and often featured ridiculous visual gags and wordplay. A single six-episode series was made, and was first broadcast in the UK on Channel 4 in 1993.The series was released on VHS in the 1990s. Bernstein, who later became a renowned conductor, had once performed the Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin, a composer of Jewish ancestry, with a concentration camp orchestra. All of the musicians were prisoners, and the father of the protagonist was an involuntary listener. Years later the spectator, who has grown old and became a baker in New Zealand, and the conductor accidentally find themselves in the same city, but do not cross paths. These accidental meetings that one remembers for the entire life are probably familiar to every Jewish family on the planet.
